Managing Backups

Backups are essential for protecting your world data against corruption, accidental deletion, or bad plugin updates. BaoHost creates daily off-site backups, but you can also manage them manually.

Creating a Backup

1. Go to your server dashboard.
2. Click on the Backups tab.
3. Click Create Backup.
4. Give it a name (optional) and choose whether to lock it (locked backups cannot be deleted automatically).
5. Click Start Backup. The system will archive your files.

Restoring a Backup

Warning: Restoring a backup will overwrite your current files. Any progress made since the backup was taken will be lost.

1. Stop your server.
2. Go to the Backups tab.
3. Find the backup you want to restore.
4. Click the ... (three dots) menu on the right.
5. Select Restore.
6. Confirm that you want to overwrite your files.
7. Once completed, start your server.
